Teresa Ribera, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge of Spain, said that gas leaks from the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines discovered in the Baltic Sea are the results of provocations by Russia.

“It seems to me that at the moment it is obvious that there cannot be three cracks in two underwater gas pipelines if there is no sabotage operation behind it,” Ms. Ribera said in an interview with EFE.

She noted that she sees in this “a clear sign that Vladimir Putin is constantly playing on provocations.”

The Spanish Deputy Prime Minister said that during the energy crisis, Europe “should remain firm”, and spoke in favor of introducing a ceiling on prices for Russian fuel.

Gas leaks at Nord Stream were recorded on September 26. There were three of them, but today, September 29, it became known about discovery fourth. One of the alleged causes of the incident is explosions.
