Deliveries of phones to Russia from China increased by 5 times

Last month, the volume of exports of phones and smartphones from China to Russia increased by 5.5% compared to the same period last year and reached $421 million. It is reported by RBC, referring to the data of Chinese customs.
In January and February 2022, the volume of exports of phones and smartphones from China is 50.5% and 14.4% respectively higher than in the same months of 2021, but later the figures began to decline – in March it amounted to $ 213 million, in May – up to 151.4 million dollars.
At the same time, after the start of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, the share of Chinese brands in the Russian market is growing. According to MTS, in the second quarter of this year, about 70% of products on the Russian market were Chinese.
