On the Day of Moscow Industry, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov spoke about the capital’s industries. According to him, more than 3,000 enterprises operate in the city.

“The development of transport infrastructure, medicine, construction are inextricably linked with the activities of plants and factories. The enterprises of the capital are billions of rubles of investments and hundreds of new developments and research per year, and more than 700 thousand city residents are employed in production. In order to maintain the set level, the city is constantly introducing effective support mechanisms,” Efimov said in an article on the mayor’s office portal mos.ru.

For 8 months of the year, the capital’s factories and plants increased their production by 6.5%. The vice-mayor emphasized that it is possible to achieve such results, among other things, thanks to more than 20 support measures provided to industrialists by the city.

“Current challenges provide refineries with opportunities to further grow and expand their operations. Each enterprise works daily to ensure stable supplies of its products and meet the needs of the real sector of the economy,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

It should be noted that a third of the enterprises operating in the city are high-tech. More than 90 of them have the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
