By “appropriate steps,” Pantuchek meant paying a transit fee, due to problems with which, on August 4, Ukrtransnafta suspended the transit of Russian oil through Ukrainian territory to Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The reason was the inability to pay for services after the introduction of the seventh package of European sanctions. sent through Gazprombank the payment was returned to the account of Transneft, the adviser to the president of the company saidTransneft”, the Russian operator of Druzhba, Igor Demin. He clarified that the Ukrainian company provides oil transportation services on a 100% prepayment basis.

Now the transit of Russian oil has been resumed to Hungary and Slovakia, after the day before, on August 10, local operators, the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL and the Slovak plant Slovnaft, agreed with the Ukrainian side and independently paid for the transit of oil. Oil began to flow on the same day at 16:00 Moscow time.

The Druzhba pipeline starts in the Samara region, passes through Bryansk, and then splits into two branches: northern and southern. The northern oil flows through Belarus in the direction of Poland, Germany and the Baltic States, the southern - to the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
