The Cup of Russia in Nordic walking was held in the Arkhangelsk region. About 60 athletes from ten regions of Russia took part in the fourth stage and final competitions in the Ustyansky district.
The national team of the Arkhangelsk region at the competition was represented by athletes from the capital of Pomorye and Severodvinsk. In the team standings, our region took fourth place.
In the team standings, the winner of the final competition was the team of St. Petersburg, in second place – Moscow, bronze – the athletes of the Leningrad region.
Natalia Kononova (Bashkortostan) and Leonid Suvorov (Mari El) became the gold medalists of the final stage of the Russian Cup.
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region, the Vodnik Regional Sports Training Center, the All-Russian and Regional Sports Tourism Federations, the press service of the regional government reports.
