Couturier Alisa Tolkacheva called the "main feature" of Paco Raban's perfumes

"It's not just the smell of a rose, but something metallic"

A well-known domestic designer, the creator of "star" images, Alisa Tolkacheva, revealed to MK the main "trick" of the skill of the French fashion designer of Basque origin Paco Raban.

- In our usual perception, to recognize a person whom you do not know personally, through a scent, was something revolutionary. But in our country there was nothing like that. What perfumers have created for the PACO RABANNE brand is not just a floral composition that we are used to, not just the smell of roses or vanilla, but something metallic, cold.

According to Tolkacheva, perfumes fully corresponded to the format in which the fashion designer worked:

- He was a master of the 20th century, who rethought metal, form, chain mail and its combinations. From all this, he created a very beautiful art object. Haute couture clothes should not be perceived by the viewer as something wearable: "Oh, how to walk in this." Artists do not work for this, high fashion shows flight, feelings, and how these feelings can be conveyed in any of the textures.

A revolutionary and modern presentation, a successful hit in a period when the best models worked on the catwalks, and professional managers promoted work in the world of fashion business - these factors Tolkachev explains Raban's colossal success.

- When they start to promote you as the author of bold ideas, they give you the opportunity to appear - this is happiness. I think that Paco Raban was happy, they remember him, they know him, they have things with his logos. He had the pinnacle of fame, he took his personal Everest!
