Conscripts urgently sell failed holidays on the Internet

Pandemic and geopolitical upheavals, coupled with sanctions, flight restrictions, and now partial mobilization, have led to the fact that all price targets have gone astray in the tourism sector. Previously considered budget resorts are catching up and even surpassing once-luxury destinations in cost, and airfare prices are reminiscent of leapfrog, sometimes turning into fights without rules. But this fall, the most agile can have a luxurious vacation for 30-50 thousand rubles cheaper than the market – at the expense of conscripts.

Looking at the prices, you involuntarily catch yourself thinking that only millionaires can have a rest this fall. For example, in the week of September 22-29, the price of a one-way ticket to Istanbul increased from 45,000 rubles to 1 million rubles, after which it fell to 450,000 rubles. And a week in Goa, which before the pandemic was considered one of the cheapest ocean resorts, now costs from 250 thousand rubles for two (this is a three-ruble note and based on a direct flight, which is only expected, and even more expensive with complex logistics). Approximately the same conditions will cost the Russians in Thai Phuket, and in Sri Lanka, where there is a crisis, many hours of blackouts and riots, and in the Maldives with the Seychelles, which we used to perceive as oases for the rich.

“Southeast Asia seemed cheap to the Russians, because before the pandemic, tour operators sent their charters there,” the travel agency explains. – And the region itself, especially with a difficult flight, is not cheaper, if not more expensive than the Caribbean and Latin America. And without charters, a week in the “treshka” of “hippie” Goa from 250 thousand for two, and 10 nights in Cuba in 5 stars “all inclusive” – ​​from 206 thousand rubles. for two, with flights and all transfers. But all this is nonsense compared to a week in Serbia in November for 443,640 rubles for two. Prices in tourism are a reflection of the current situation here and now. Those who need to go to Europe at any cost will lay out such money for Serbia, it is clear that there is nothing to do in this country in November. And Goa at the price of the Maldives will be sold without fish, all the same, Turkey and Egypt are even more expensive. If the collapse, then from 20 to 50 thousand can be saved. Well, if, of course, you don’t have time to collapse …

The word “collapse” is the magic key to a luxury vacation “cheaper than the market”, although, looking at the prices, it still does not turn out to be cheap. Unexpected discounts should be thanked to conscripts and their loved ones who urgently cancel planned trips. Lawyers are just shrugging their shoulders: there was no such situation before, so no one is ready to clearly describe the algorithm for returning funds for services not rendered. So far, only the flagship of Russian air transportation has given a clear answer, promising to return money for unused air tickets – but only to specifically mobilized ones. To receive them, you must show a summons or other documents confirming that this citizen canceled the flight, as he went to the NWO zone. When asked how he will present if he has already gone to the front, the carrier answers that his relatives can provide supporting documents for the mobilized. The travel agencies themselves are sure that they don’t have to return anything, so they have already done their job: they transferred money to their counterparties and organized the holidays ordered by clients, but they are not responsible for mobilization.

– If a person refused a few days before departure, then we cannot and should not return anything, even our commission, because we have already worked, – they confirm in the travel agency. – It turns out that the tour is already organized, just left without a host. We put up such tourist products for sale in the second round, but already an order of magnitude cheaper, like burning ones. And if it is sold, then at least part of the money will be reimbursed to the refuseniks.

– Partial mobilization does not apply to insured events, – lawyer Andrey Kuzin clarifies, – therefore, it is not necessary to wait for compensation from insurers. Those who have a summons in their hands, I think, sooner or later, money for services not rendered will be reimbursed. But if there is no actual call – that is, we are talking about relatives of a potential recruit or about those who have not yet received a summons, but still did not dare to go far, the contract with the travel agency is terminated in the usual manner. And the usual one is according to Article 32 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Consumer Rights”, that is, with “reimbursement to the contractor for actually incurred expenses.” If the trip is canceled just a few days before departure, it means that the contractor represented by the travel agency has already accurately transferred money to partners – hotels, carriers, and so on. And the performer will not return his commission, he worked, and it is not his fault that the tourists changed their minds.

That is why, without waiting for the regulatory path to appear in the labyrinths of lawmaking, the conscripts and their relatives, who were going to, but did not get the opportunity to rest, came up with the same network “collapse” for refusal tours. These are channels in social networks where last-minute refusal tours from conscripts and their entourage are offered directly from hand to hand and with a markdown for urgency.

Is it possible to sell a tour abroad directly to another person? – I check with the travel agency the legitimacy, and most importantly, the honesty and efficiency of such transactions. – There are air tickets, vouchers, everything has already been issued for someone’s passport.

– With urgent re-registration, sellers are helped by their travel agencies, which otherwise cannot reimburse them for lost money, or simply by third-party travel agents for a commission. There is no cheating, the tours are real. Another thing is that this price fall will not last long. Tours for the beginning of October, which began to be abandoned from September 22, lost the most in price.

When studying the offers on the “collapse”, it is striking that on its “counters” tours are mostly expensive, but not far away – to Turkey and Egypt, although for a similar amount one could explore some exotic corner of the planet. But, judging by the fresh “deliveries”, those who were prevented by partial mobilization were not going to explore the world, but simply to have a good rest. I give for 220 thousand, taking into account the rebooking, I took almost twice as much, but bargaining is appropriate. The replacement of the tourist was agreed with the tour operator, the tour was bought back in August, there are no more such prices.” “Urgently, Turkey, 10 days for two, a deluxe spa hotel, for October the hotel is on the foot, for November 10 days from 300 thousand, we took for 250 thousand, and we give it back for 190 thousand plus we reissue it at our own expense.
