Communication group dentsu Russia will change its name and CEO


The communication group dentsu Russia will change its name to OKKAM, its shareholders Kirill Matveev and Oleg Polyakov announced today, September 20, during the group's conference. The legal name change will take place after the finalization of agreements with the global dentsu. By the end of the year, a number of the group's agencies will also change their name.

Kirill Matveev and Oleg Polyakov also announced that the company will change its CEO: from January 1, 2023, Mikhail Shklyaev will become it. Since 2021, he has been Group Strategy Director. Maria Donskikh, who currently holds this position, will continue to work in the group as a member of the Board of Directors.

Dentsu Russia included media agencies Dentsu X, Carat and People & Screens, digital agencies Isobar Moscow and Traffic Isobar, iProspect agency, outdoor advertising agency Posterscope, The Story Lab, etc. In total, 1.5 thousand employees work in the advertising group in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Prior to the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine, dentsu Russia used to be a representative office in Russia of the international network Dentsu. The fact that the headquarters of the global communications group dentsu is transferring ownership of the joint venture dentsu Russia to local shareholders was announced in March. The rights were transferred to dentsu Russia Regional Director for Russia and CIS Kirill Matveev and dentsu Russia & CIS President Oleg Polyakov.
