Comedian Chris Rock refuses to host the Oscars

The incident took place at the Oscars on March 27 this year. Chris Rock made a joke about Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith. The actor considered this offensive and hit the comedian in the face. After Will Smith was awarded the statuette for Best Actor in the film “King Richard” (2021). On stage, he apologized for what had happened. In April, the actor voluntarily left the Academy. For the next ten years, he is banned from attending film academy events. Chris Rock has stated that he will not sue the actor.
