Ecopetrol, Colombia’s state oil company, has increased fuel supplies to European countries due to a reduction in oil imports from the Russian Federation. This is reported by Reuters, referring to the director of the Colombian oil company Felipe Baiona.

“This year we will drill 600 new wells. Oil production is growing and we want to be sure that it will continue to grow,” said the head of Ecopetrol during the 38th Asia-Pacific Petroleum Conference.

Bayon also noted that this year about 40-50% of the fuel his company supplies to Asia. In 2021, this figure was 60%. He stressed that the decline in supplies due to the fact that in Asia began to grow competition between Russian, Mexican and Canadian, as well as Venezuelan oil.
