India and China refused to vote in the UN Security Council condemning the accession of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia.
According to RIA Novosti, China’s permanent representative Zhang Jun said that the parties to the conflict should resolve the conflict through diplomacy and that UN actions should help resolve the crisis, and not vice versa. The representative of India to the UN said that the escalation of rhetoric is not in anyone’s interests, and also noted the need for negotiations.
Earlier, the foreign ministers of the G7 countries said they would never recognize the entry of the republics of Donbass and two regions into the Russian Federation.
