In the Donetsk People’s Republic, military personnel and civilians who are injured and unable to leave the hospital can vote in a referendum on joining the Russian Federation thanks to visiting commissions.

As a representative of the CEC of the DPR told reporters, mobile election commissions work in hospitals in Donetsk and other cities of the republic. This is so that wounded civilians and soldiers can vote without leaving the chambers.

Former Turkish journalist Yucel Ozdemir in an article for Evrensel, he expressed the opinion that over time, Western countries will change their attitude towards the results of referendums on joining the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to the Russian Federation.

Ozdemir believes that in conditions when Moscow joins the regions that voted for joining the Russian Federation to its territory, and the West takes Ukraine into its ranks, “negotiations and a ceasefire may appear on the agenda.”
