Among the dead employees of the Izhevsk school number 88 are three teachers and a security guard of the educational institution, who was the first to take the fire of the insane shooter. Mathematics teacher Natalya Igorevna Vedernikova, fine arts teacher – Svetlana Ivanovna Sukhanova, English teacher Margarita Mikhailovna Sakharnykh. Former students and their parents speak of the dead teachers only in the most enthusiastic tones and mourn immensely.

Natalya Igorevna Vedernikova, a teacher of algebra and geometry, was 50 years old.

– Natalya Igorevna taught me mathematics back in 1994. The knowledge she gave me is priceless. It is a pity that her life was cut short so tragically, – shared her former student Leo.

– Natalya Igorevna was always smiling, she had such a kind face! She didn’t have a family, the school was her family, she died at school, – the mother of a former student of this school sighs. – My daughter cried a lot, she could not work when she found out about her death.

“I know how Natalia Igorevna died,” a seventh-grader, an eyewitness to the tragedy, shared with MK. – She just decided to go out into the corridor and find out what was happening there, what was exploding there. She came out and was shot immediately. The children apparently immediately realized what had happened and closed the door…

– All the dead teachers taught with me, and Natalya Igorevna was my favorite teacher in mathematics. She was kind, always cheered up the students, supported us, – said the former student Leysan. – Svetlana Ivanovna, I will always remember your fairy tales in the art room, and how sweetly you called us “suns”. Margarita Mikhailovna – the best teacher of English, constantly joked in class. It’s hard to believe that you are no more! I am proud that you were my teachers, thank you for the unforgettable lessons…
