Amiens took the lead in Ligue 2 thanks to their home victory against Grenoble (1-0) but also Caen’s first defeat of the season at Le Havre (2-1), Friday during the 7th day.

Stade Malherbe, leader before the day, downgrades to 4th place, tied on points with their opponent of the day (3rd) and Valenciennes (5th), one point behind Sochaux, the new runner-up who won at home against Laval (4-1). Valenciennes won on their lawn against Nîmes (3-2).

Saturday Bordeaux (6th) can take the lead in the event of success on the ground of Paris FC (12th), while Saint-Etienne, 19th but revived by its large victory against Bastia (5-0) during the previous day, will move to the new red lantern Pau, Monday at the end of the day.

At the Océane stadium in Le Havre, Luka Elsner’s men brought down the Caennais thanks to two goals from Victor Lekhal (7th from the penalty spot) and Jamal Thiaré (76th). Godson Kyeremeh reduced the score late in the game (90+1). Amiens, for its part, won against Grenoble (10th), with a single goal scored from the penalty spot by the Nigerian Tolu Arokodaré (69th).

At the Bonal stadium, Sochaux, in numerical superiority from the 39th minute and the exclusion of Yasser Baldé, bent Laval at the end of the match with achievements from Gaëtan Weissbeck (45 + 2), Moussa Doumbia (72nd), Tony Mauricio (81st) and Maxime Do Couto (83rd). The Mayenne had however opened the mark by Julien Maggiotti (29th).

At the Michel-d’Ornano stadium in Caen, where Quevilly “received” Niort due to a scheduling conflict with his rugby team, the Norman team, despite two red cards inflicted on goalkeeper Nicolas Lemaitre (23rd, replaced by Yohann Thuram) and striker Louis Mafouta (54th), managed to hold the 3-3 draw against Niort (including two penalty goals from Bilal Boutobba for the Chamois).

Finally, note Bastia’s third victory of the season, which revived well by winning at Furiani against Dijon (1-0) after a very tense match on the field and on the edge of the sidelines. The Guingamp-Rodez meeting was postponed because the plane carrying the players of the Aveyron team on Friday had to turn back due to a technical failure.
