Blinken: We are doing our best to help Ukrainians

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the US has no objection to Kyiv using Western weapons against regions that could become part of the Russian Federation after the referendums.

The day before, in an interview with CBS, he called the voting in the southern regions of Ukraine, prepared with the participation of the Russian side, a "fiction." And their goal, in his opinion, is "the appointment of puppet governments." The head of the State Department stressed that the United States would never recognize these territories as Russian.

“And the Ukrainians have every right to take these territories back,” Blinken said. “We are doing everything we can to help Ukrainians defend themselves.”

Meanwhile, Bloomberg, citing its sources, noted that it is unlikely that there will be a sharp increase in arms supplies to Ukraine. "The United States is being cautious, and Europe's stockpiles of key weapons are running out," the report said.
