The governor of Bali banned tourists not only from drug dealing, but also from climbing sacred trees

Indonesian portal Detik reported that the governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, issued circular letter No. 4 on new procedures for foreign tourists. The document takes effect immediately. This circular contains, as follows from the message, a list of 12 recommendations and eight prohibitions for foreign tourists. Tourists, including Russians, will now have to give up climbing sacred trees, taking pictures in sacred places in immodest clothes, and other essential things. A special press conference was held on the introduction of the new tourism code.

“Foreign tourists are prohibited from: entering the fenced area of ​​sacred sites such as temples, except for praying in traditional Balinese clothing; climbing sacred trees; behavior that desecrates sacred sites and temples, such as taking photographs in immodest clothes / without clothes,” he was quoted as saying. portal new severe prohibitions.

It is no longer possible to “throw garbage indiscriminately” and pollute lakes, springs, rivers, the sea and public places, and use disposable plastic bags. In addition, rudeness and aggression against local officials and officials in general fell under the ban. It is also impossible – absolutely! – to engage in business without official permits, including the trade in local artifacts and drugs.
