The Bakhchisaray cement plant in Crimea is planned to be transferred to state ownership. About it informed Heads of the Republic Sergei Aksenov in his Telegram channel.

He explained that when the property of “enemies of Russia” is nationalized, infrastructure facilities will be transferred to state ownership if they are necessary for the development of the republic. Aksenov cited the Bakhchisaray cement plant as an example.

He also added that SUE “Krymenergo” received the equipment of solar power plants, which were nationalized. “Now there is an inventory. We will not refuse this resource, it can produce up to 100 MW. Payment for electricity generated by solar power plants will be carried out at a standard rate,” the head of the republic specified.

The head of the republic had previously stated that the nationalized property would exhibited for auction.

In April 2022, deputies of the State Council of Crimea submitted a bill to the State Duma that makes it possible to forcibly seize the property of citizens from unfriendly countries. Amendments are proposed to be made to Part 1 of Art. 235 of the Civil Code (“grounds for termination of property rights”). However, the President’s Codification Council considered this project to be contrary to the Constitution and therefore did not support it. Despite this, in October, deputies of the State Council of Crimea supported the changes.

Enterprises of Ukrainian businessmen Rinat Akhmetov and Igor Kolomoisky, ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Ukrainian MP Nestor Shufrich, Lithuanian businessman Kolas Igoris and others fell under the nationalization. Aksyonov also reported on the nationalization of the apartment of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

JSC “Bakhchisarai Cement Plant” was founded in the Crimea in 1959. The plant is considered the only cement manufacturer in the republic with a full production cycle. Previously, he was a member of the Blickford group of Ukrainian businessman David Zhvania. In October, a temporary administration was introduced at the enterprise. Aleksey Dranny was appointed as the head.
