The final stage of the Classic Touring Cup 2022 season took place at Moscow Raceway. The legends of the Soviet car industry once again gathered on the track near Moscow, joining the fight for victory.

Traditionally, the racing day was opened by the CN Sport Prototype support race. The races of the final stage for ShortCut were marked by the victorious double of the pilot Sergey Ievlev, who confidently led both races. The second place at the end of the stage went to Artem Viktorov, the third was Kirill Kirakozov.

At the start of the first class race of the RAF Cup in the sprint distance, attention was focused on the pair Igor Shunailov - Konstantin Samushia. The pilots came to the finals with an equal number of points and the races of the fifth stage were supposed to be decisive in their rivalry. As a result, in the first race Anton Yevtukh, who started from the third position, managed to overtake Konstantin Samushiy and pass to the second position, and on the second lap to take the lead. As a result, the audience watched an interesting battle for the first place between the two "penny" Yevtukh and Shunailov. As a result, Igor Shunailov counterattacked and overtook Anton Yevtukh three laps to go and won the race. Konstantin Samushia finished third in the first race.

In the second race, Igor Shunailov retains the first position, and Konstantin Samushiy's "five" attacks Anton Yevtukh's "penny" and goes to second place. Igor Shunailov becomes the winner of the stage. The winners of the season in class A2/1-1600: the first place — Igor Shunailov, the second — Konstantin Samushia, the third — Dmitry Kozlov.

Only some unpredictable events could knock out the leader of the A2 / 1-1300 class, Denis Kirillov. Both races the pilot finished first, thus becoming not only the winner of the stage, but the entire CTC season. Dmitry Potseluev became the silver medalist of the stage, the third place on the podium was taken by the honored motor sportsman Igor Tashaev.

At the final stage, the RAF A5 Cup class race was held together with Open Classic. Domestic classics and foreign cars fought in one race. From the very first race in the Open Classic, Ilya Kozlov and Semyon Chernis fought for the leadership position. At the beginning of the final lap, Kozlov made a mistake, lost first position and missed Semyon Chernis and Evgeny Trushin, but was quickly able to regain the lead by winning the race.

In the second race, Evgeny Turishn initially manages to overtake Semyon Chernis, but he, after fighting for the second position with Trushin, was able not only to regain it, but also to become the leader of the race. Semen Chernis became the winner of the final stage, Ilya Kozlov took the second place, Oleg Chebotarev was the third on the podium.

The undisputed leader of the A5 class, Vladimir Cherevan, predictably won the first race with a strong lead over his pursuers, despite the heavy rain that interfered with the race. But the second race was not without surprises: due to technical difficulties at the very beginning of the race, Cherevan let several of his closest rivals go ahead, and also received a fine for dangerous driving - driving through the pit lane. As a result, the victory of the second race went to Agnivin, but Vladimir Cherevan nevertheless became the winner of the stage, Vladislav Agnivin was the second on the podium, and Taras Laukart was the third.

The first half of the racing day ended with a joint race of the Open class and the legendary cars of the Volga brand.

The victorious double of the pilot Andrey Chesnokov, a newcomer of this season, who took part in the CTC races only at the fifth stage, made him the winner of the final stage in the Volga class. Andrey Chesnokov became the winner of the stage, Maxim Kotovenko took the second place, Armen Kocharov took the third place.

The leader of the Open class, Vladimir Cherevan, set a high pace from the very first race and broke away from his rivals by almost 10 seconds. His closest pursuer, Artemy Melnikov, started third, but managed to advance to second position. The top three winners of the first race were supplemented by Nikolay Kvitko. According to the results of the stage, Vladimir Cherven is on the first step of the podium, Artemy Melnikov is in second place, and Nikolay Kvitko is in third.

At the final stage, a lot of activities were also prepared for the spectators, which helped to get to know the world of motorsport as closely as possible - a walk along the pit lane, a tour of the track by bus, a taxi ride, an exhibition of interesting racing equipment in the paddock. And, of course, the most important event of the day — fighting classics on the racetrack!

The third season of historic car racing is officially over!
