Australia seeks compensation from carrier for lost user data



Sky broadcaster reported that the Australian government has promised to issue new passports to victims of the data breach of communications company Optus, the country's second-largest mobile operator, demanding compensation from her for issuing them.

At the same time, Prime Minister Anthony Albaniz stressed that there is no reason to impose reimbursement of the costs of eliminating the consequences of the leak on taxpayers.
