Athletes from Buryatia became champions of the All-Russian competitions in rhythmic gymnastics

All-Russian competitions in rhythmic gymnastics “Julia-2020” were held in Ulan-Ude from September 22 to 26. More than 400 athletes from 23 regions of Russia demonstrated their skills and showed the power of grace in one of the most beautiful sports.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Sports of Buryatia, according to the program of masters of sports of Russia in the individual all-around program, based on the results of 4 performances with different subjects, Alena Zakharchenko from Kemerovo took the first place. Alena Maltseva, another athlete from this region, won silver, while Ksenia Sheveleva from the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug won bronze.

In the team competition among gymnasts born in 2010-2011, gymnasts from Buryatia shared the entire podium of the tournament: the team consisting of Dari Tugutova, Elizaveta Golovko, Polina Poletaeva, Altana Tserenova, Lia Zakirova and Natalia Shmakova won gold; silver – Maria Gorshkova, Darina Balkhaeva, Ksenia Spiridonova, Daria Alekseeva, Valeria Trofimova and Ayana Khasoeva; bronze medals went to Anastasia Babueva, Elizaveta Budkevich, Polina Pankratova, Ksenia Sedunova and Daria Nabieva.

The team third place was taken by Buryat athletes born in 2012-2013 – Kristina Popova, Olga Biltakhayeva, Narana Zhigmytova, Narana Tsypilova and Ekaterina Starikova. The team of Primorye became the winner in this age category, the team of the Irkutsk region won silver.

The Ministry of Sports of Buryatia congratulated the athletes and coaching staff on the awards won and new competitive experience.
