Long jumper Daria Klishina admitted for the first time that she had two children.

At the end of June, the athlete gave birth to a son in Miami (USA). And the eldest son of the 31-year-old athlete was not previously known to the general public.

“I’m a rather private person and don’t advertise my personal life,” Klishina said in an interview with the All-Russian Athletics Federation. In 2017, having won a silver medal at the World Championships in London, she planned to give birth to a child. “Everything went well, and in 2018 my first child was born,” said Klishina. The Olympic season was ahead, and she started jumping already 8 months after giving birth.

Both sons were born in the USA: the eldest – in New York, the youngest – in Miami. In 2016, Klishina became the only athlete from Russia admitted to the Olympic Games in Brazil. At the 2020 Tokyo Games, she was among the 10 Russian athletes allowed to start, but due to injury, she was unable to finish the qualifying tournament.
