Astrakhan announced the threat of closing three large producers of black caviar

Large Astrakhan producers of black caviar may cease their activities due to the requirement of the prosecutor's office to remove the farms from the territory of the hydraulic structures where they are located. We are talking about the Beluga, Raskat and Aquatrade fish farms, Governor of the Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin said at the meeting.

“Based on the results of an inspection by the Southern Transport Prosecutor’s Office, a decision was made to remove the farms from the territory of the hydraulic structures where they are located,” said the head of the region (quote by Interfax).

According to him, the companies have been engaged in fish farming for more than 20 years; they grow about 1,300 tons of fish and 15 tons of black caviar per year. Babushkin clarified that in total, the farm transfers almost 100 million rubles to the regional budget. taxes.

The governor said that the transfer of sturgeon stocks from the locks, which are leased by companies, will lead to loss of livestock and jeopardize the further production of fish and caviar.

Babushkin instructed Minister of Agriculture and Fishing Industry of the region Ruslan Pashayev to find a solution to the problem. He promised to develop a rescue plan for businesses within a week.
