The Russian Ministry of Justice has included the Nevograd association (recognized as extremist) in the list of banned organizations. The corresponding item appeared in the list on site Ministry of Justice.

The organization was included in the list by decision of the St. Petersburg City Court of October 25, 2021 and after the appeal ruling of September 6, follows from the information on the website of the department.

In August 2021, the St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit to recognize the organization as extremist. The reason is the adherence to the ideology of neo-Nazism, the use of prohibited symbols (symbols similar to the swastika), as well as the commission of crimes on ethnic grounds, including murders and robberies.

The statement of claim states that the members of the criminal groups set the “cleansing” of St. Petersburg from representatives of non-Slavic nationalities and races as goals and objectives. “Purification” was to take place through violence, including murder.
