Armenia refused to participate in CSTO exercises in Kazakhstan

Armenia will not take part in the exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. This is reported by the publication Infocom with reference to the press service of the country's Ministry of Defense.

This decision in Armenia was explained by the difficult situation on the border with Azerbaijan.

“Taking into account the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border that has developed as a result of the aggression carried out by Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has decided to refrain from the participation of units of the RA Armed Forces in the exercises held in Kazakhstan within the framework of the CSTO,” the ministry said in a statement.

Recall that the exercises are held from September 26 to October 8 in Kazakhstan.
