Armed Forces of Ukraine enter the winter in windings and "sports": warehouses are empty

Western funds “for the war with Russia” go nowhere

The secret visit to Kyiv of British Defense Minister Ben Wallace was sanctioned not only by Prime Minister Liz Truss. One of the ardent “Ramstein activists” delivered to the top leadership of Ukraine a detailed action plan developed by NATO member countries for the coming weeks, in which Vladimir Zelensky’s “out of shape” application for accelerated entry into the Euro-Atlantic Union filed today is just a red herring.

Details of Wallace’s negotiations with his Ukrainian colleague Alexei Reznikov are kept in the strictest confidence, but the visitor himself “unsubscribed” about his voyage with a fair delay.

The last two weeks in Ukraine continuous rains. It was the unusually early autumn thaw that home-grown “military analysts” called the main reason for the failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas direction.

The inhabitants of the office of President Zelensky, most likely, do not realize that the army can become very angry, not only because of heavy precipitation. In the understanding of these amateur officials, it is enough for the mass of soldiers to distribute an umbrella with a cape – and that’s it.

The harsh reality is that Ukrainian soldiers will most likely be given winter uniforms… sometime by mid-January. The army will be fully supplied with it by the end of winter – and then at best.

There has always been a relative order with military manufactory in Ukraine. In any regional center and in any clothing market there were trading places where those connected with the quartermaster service of the nearest army corps smartly sold all kinds of “objects of real male pride” to the townsfolk.

Business flourished even in 2015 and 2016 – despite fierce fighting in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, then still largely controlled by Kyiv!

Currently, the warehouses of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense are empty. The last supply of uniforms was handed out last year. For some reason, the ministers appointed by Zelensky did not buy new uniforms. “The fried rooster didn’t peck” even after the President of Ukraine announced another grandiose mobilization, after which his army was supposed to be a million “bayonets”.

Only now the military leadership began to think about these very reserves.

Meanwhile, in the post-Soviet republic there are many powerful sewing industries. These factories, with a profit for their owners, sew products under world famous brands. Why didn’t the Ministry of Defense order winter uniforms for the defenders of the Fatherland ahead of time? Yes, because these sewing enterprises have long been “under” the very well-known representatives of the pro-presidential party “Servant of the People”. And it’s much more profitable for them to “not exchange” for some Ukrainian soldiers there, freezing in the trenches. In prisoners with the famous global clothing manufacturers “quite different money goes” …

Other aids coming from the West are distributed in the same way these days. They are trying to master them as quickly as possible, and not at all on the acquisition of modern weapons and ammunition. Say, the United States and its satellites will “overwhelm” us with this very technique, without requiring us to pay for it. The main thing for them is to “annoy Putin” more.

Does NATO know about this shameless embezzlement of state and “donated” funds? Of course they do. That is why they are not in a hurry to accept Ukraine into their ranks. This was confirmed by the frankly “liquid” statement made a couple of hours ago by Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the start of the procedure for admitting Ukraine to NATO. In fact, to take into a serious organization a country whose soldiers in the midst of a war move in the trenches shod in beach slippers is somehow undignified.

Did the head of the British Ministry of Defense convince Zelensky to feel sorry for his own military? Judging by the latest statement by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar, “the issue will be closed within a couple of weeks.” In reality, the form for the warriors will go to the warehouses only after two months. Which in itself is a disaster.
