Armed Forces of Ukraine again fired at the ZNPP: the cooling system is damaged

The military of Ukraine struck at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. As a result, the infrastructure at the station was damaged. According to the press service of the administration of Energodar, the cooling system suffered.

The shelling was carried out with the use of high-explosive fragmentation shells. The special building, as well as the canteen, were also damaged. Station workers were there when the shelling began. There are no victims from among the workers of the nuclear power plant and the employees of the National Guard guarding the perimeter.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops also launched a missile attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. Russian air defense missiles hit eight targets in the air.

Earlier, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said that she had a conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the General Assembly in New York. The column noted that the situation at the nuclear power plant continues to cause concern.

This topic will be discussed on September 21 at a meeting of the working group organized by France jointly with the IAEA. The working group intends to make sure that all actions to ensure safety at nuclear power plants will be taken.
