An athlete from the Ivanovo region became the world champion in wrestling

Natives of the Ivanovo region continue to perform at regional, all-Russian and international competitions in various sports. Ivanovo athletes constantly glorify their region, bringing cups and medals of various denominations, both in team and individual sports.

This time, athletes representing the Ivanovo region and training in Kineshma performed successfully. From November 17 to 19, Moscow hosted the World Wrestling Championships, which included representatives from the Ivanovo region. Kineshma native Zakhar Larichev competed for medals with athletes representing Russia, India, Turkey, Algeria, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

A student of the Volzhanin sports school, Zakhar Larichev, became the champion among boys 12-13 years old in the grappling section.
