Brazil, under newly elected President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, will maintain its principled stance against unilateral sanctions against Russia. This statement was made by the Ambassador to this country Alexei Labetsky.
The diplomat also noted that “it is absolutely clear that the collective West will try to connect this country to those sanctions regimes and to the sanctions policy that they are pursuing against us.”
Labetsky pointed out that Brazil is a country pursuing a sovereign foreign policy.
