Ambassador Antonov warned the United States about the consequences of deliveries of ATACMS missiles to Ukraine

Deliveries of American ATACMS ballistic missiles to Ukraine will draw Washington into a military conflict with Moscow, declared Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov in an interview for RIA Novosti.
He pointed out that these shells can strike at a distance of up to 300 km. If these weapons are in the possession of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they will be able to reach major Russian cities, as well as industrial and transport facilities. “Such a scenario would mean direct involvement of the United States in a military confrontation with Russia,” Antonov concluded.
“Settlements of Donbass are being shelled, peaceful innocent people are dying. See how many swastikas and Nazi symbols are on Ukrainian military equipment. If this happens in relation to the DPR and LPR, then obviously, if these warriors have long-range American missiles, they will use them in our country without hesitation,” the ambassador added.
Ukraine is going to send a new request to the United States, which will include ATACMS missiles, about this on September 12 informed newspaper The Wall Street Journal. Kyiv also intends to request Harpoon anti-ship missiles, HIMARS MLRS shells, tanks, drones, and artillery systems.
ATACMS is a tactical ballistic missile of the American company Lockheed Martin, which can be launched from multiple launch rocket systems, including the M142 HIMARS. Ukrainian troops use this system against the Russian armed forces.
The United States will not transfer long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, declared at the end of July, Assistant to US President Joe Biden for National Security Jake Sullivan at the Aspen Institute forum.
