Ambassador Antonov: relations between the Russian Federation and the United States are experiencing an unprecedented crisis

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, wrote in his article for the National Interest magazine that relations between Moscow and Washington are now experiencing an unprecedented crisis.

“Let me remind you that a couple of years ago we talked about a difficult stage in the bilateral dialogue. However, no one could even imagine that things would reach such a dangerous point, ”the Russian representative believes.

According to Antonov, everything that “was created with difficulty for many years, including political, economic, cultural, scientific and educational ties, was thrown into the dustbin of history.” The diplomat also assessed the situation in the field of arms control as “a sad and desolate picture.”
