Amazon reveals new Fire HD 8 tablets

Amazon Corporation introduced a new generation of branded Fire HD 8 tablets – the basic version, the Plus variant, as well as children’s versions of Kids and Kids Pro. Sales of new tablets will begin in October. The Amazon Fire HD 8 will cost $99, the Plus version will cost $119, and the Kids and Kids Pro devices are priced at $149.
The main upgrades are an 8-inch 1280×800 display and an improved processor that is 30% faster than the chip in the previous generation of tablets. The Fire HD 8’s 2GB of RAM is paired with 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage, expandable with microSD cards up to 1TB, and 2MP front and rear cameras.
The Fire HD 8 Plus has 3GB of RAM and an improved 5MP main camera, and it also supports wireless charging. It is stated that all devices have autonomy up to 13 hours of operation without recharging and a built-in 3.5 mm audio jack. Provides work with proprietary voice assistant Alexa.
The Fire HD 8 Kids and Fire HD 8 Kids Pro editions feature a protective case, as well as a built-in suite of kids apps and apps, and advanced parental controls. Devices include an annual subscription to Amazon Kids+ with children’s content.
