Aliyev: peace treaty with Armenia can be signed in 2022

According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Baku and Yerevan can conclude peace agreements before the end of this year.
“In the case of goodwill on the part of Armenia, peace agreements can be signed before the end of 2022. I think that if a decision is made in the near future, the working groups of the two countries will begin work on the text of the peace treaty, we will be able to reach an agreement by the end of the year,” Aliyev said.
He also stressed that now neither the Armenian side nor the Council of Europe has any questions regarding the five principles that the Azerbaijani side had previously proclaimed.
