Funds from the sale of nationalized property of Ukrainian businessmen in Crimea will be used to equip participants in the special operation, declared head of the republic Sergei Aksenov.

“All funds from the sale of the nationalized property of Ukrainian businessmen will be used to equip participants in a special military operation,” Aksyonov wrote on his Telegram channel.

Today, head of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov informedthat the property of Ukrainian oligarchs Rinat Akhmetov and Igor Kolomoisky was nationalized in Crimea. According to him, a total of about 500 objects have been nationalized, which relate to enterprises and banks, sports and tourism infrastructure.

In Crimea, the assets of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Ukrainian MP Nestor Shufrich, and Lithuanian businessman Kolas Igoris were nationalized. Also, the Kamysh-Burunsky iron ore plant, the assets of 12 Ukrainian banks, a refrigeration equipment plant in Krasnoperekopsk, and others passed into the ownership of Crimea.

On October 18, 2022, the Crimean parliament adopted a law allowing the property of unfriendly foreign states and their citizens to be recognized as the property of the republic. We are talking about land plots and other objects of movable and immovable property that were owned as of February 24, 2022. At the end of October, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, ordered the nationalization of enterprises and individuals associated with the political leadership of Ukraine.

In Ukraine, the law on the forced seizure of property of the Russian Federation and its residents was adopted back in March. The Ukrainian parliament explained that such a law was adopted due to “Russia’s aggressive actions against Ukraine.”
