Banks of Nezalezhnaya on the peninsula will be deprived of the remnants of property

The Crimean authorities intend to take away the property of Ukrainian banks, said Vladimir Konstantinov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic. 12 Ukrainian financial institutions will fall under the procedure.

Among them is Finance and Credit, a once large bank that went bankrupt in 2015. It belonged to one of the top managers of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant Konstantin Zhevago. On February 2, the SBU accused him of evading rent payments to the state budget for the use of the subsoil of the iron ore deposit. In addition, the following will be nationalized: Forum Bank, Ukrsibbank, Imexbank, Piraeus Bank MKB;, JSB Express-Bank, Joint Stock Prominvest Bank, Ukrainian Joint-Stock Commercial Industrial and Investment Bank, Ukrsotsbank, State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine, ” Nadra.” MTB BANK.

All of them ceased operations in 2014. During the annexation of Crimea to Russia, Ukrainian financial structures got rid of their real estate on the peninsula. But, according to the Crimean authorities, something remains: residential buildings, warehouses, land plots, shops, offices and hotels in Simferopol, Yalta, Feodosia, Evpatoria, Alushta and other cities and regions of Crimea.

“The banking system of Crimea has been fully integrated into the Russian plane and is regulated by the laws of the Russian Federation. Ukrainian banks could still have premises that were used for commercial purposes. For example, they were leased to companies. And now such premises will be nationalized, as well as the rest of the property of persons conducting anti-Russian activities, ”political scientist Alexander Talipov explained to MK.

It is also proposed to nationalize property owned by Ukrainian oligarchs: the Ripario Hotel Group on the site of the former boarding house “Pribrezhny” in Yalta, the international children’s medical center “Chaika” in Evpatoria, as well as two sports grounds of the Dynamo Kyiv football club, owned by businessman Igor Surkis.

Earlier it was reported that the procedure would affect the enterprises of Ukrainian businessmen Rinat Akhmetov and Igor Kolomoisky, as well as the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk. According to Konstantinov, the organizations themselves will continue to work, only the founders will be replaced. “It is immoral for us to have objects whose owners sponsor the Ukrainian regime,” Konstantinov stressed.

So, Kolomoisky will lose the Transport Logistics company, and his daughter Anzhelika will lose Envil LLC. Rinat Akhmetov – boarding houses “Gornyak” and “Light of the Miner”. And Arseniy Yatsenyuk – the company “Sky Plaza” (cinema “Saturn IMAX”). Moreover, it does not belong to the businessman directly. According to media reports, it is owned by Olga Borisova, the mother-in-law of Alexei Burbak, a classmate and friend of the ex-premier.

“The property of Kolomoisky and other specified persons was nationalized back in 2014. Perhaps, years later, they found something additional, – Talipov notes. – As for banks, only Russian structures worked in Crimea: GenBank, RNKB and Rossiya. And now we are waiting for the big players to enter. We hope to see not only banks, but also retail chains, gas stations and everything else. There are not enough large Russian enterprises in Crimea.”
