Actress Maria Mironova, who starred in the forthcoming teen fantasy thriller The Dollmaker, said in an interview aif.ruWhy didn’t she play the main character of the space epic “The Challenge” Klima Shipenko (the role eventually went to Yulia Peresild). According to the actress, the point was that the plot needed a younger actress.

– Klim [Шипенко] I was offered, but it was immediately clear that I would not fit in age – the film needed actors under 40 years old, – said Mironova. – But I think that she and Yulia Peresild are incredible heroes in the sense of overcoming oneself, and I really look forward to the premiere of this film, it has a lot of “live mode” that cannot be played in the pavilion.

In The Dollmaker, which takes place in the late 1990s, Mironova plays the mother of two daughters, Sonya (16-year-old Polina Ryashko) and Anya (12-year-old Vita Kornienko). According to the actress, she is happy to resume filming of children’s films in Russia, the production of which was interrupted in the post-Soviet years.

– “Puppeteer”, I think, is still more for teenagers, – said the actress. – I definitely won’t show it to my three-year-old son – good cartoons from my childhood are more suitable for him now.

According to Maria Mironova, a representative of the famous acting dynasty, in her childhood the film The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, in which she played Becky Thatcher, seemed to her like a thriller: she was frightened by Talgat Nigmatullin’s character Indian Joe, despite the fact that the girl was familiar with the artist himself.
