Abramchenko named the planned amount of financing for the agro-industrial complex in new regions

This year, the Russian authorities plan to allocate 4.5 billion rubles to support the agro-industrial complex (AIC) in new regions, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said, speaking at the final meeting of the collegium of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

“This year, the total volume of state support is planned at the level of 4.5 billion rubles. This includes subsidies for growing crops, milk production and supporting bakery enterprises. It is important to support rural employment in new regions. We will allocate 952 million rubles for this support measure this year,” leads her words TASS.

Last year, Abramchenko reminded, the farmers of the new regions received state support in the amount of 3 billion rubles for the first time. As the vice-premier noted, this step made it possible to ensure the collection of grain, leguminous crops and rapeseed on an area of ​​more than 98%. And also to sow winter crops for this year’s harvest on an area of ​​1.3 million hectares and meet the internal needs of the regions in crop production.

Former Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev declaredthat the forecast for grain harvest in Russia in 2023 can be adjusted upwards. In April he toldthat the grain harvest in the country, taking into account the new regions, at the end of the year is projected at the level of 123 million tons, of which 78 million tons will fall on wheat. According to the minister, such a volume will ensure national food security.

On September 30, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the annexation of the regions to Russia. Putin stressed that the inhabitants of the annexed territories “become citizens of the Russian Federation forever.”
