The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has developed a draft resolution on the creation of a special economic zone (SEZ) of the Vladimir industrial type in the Kirzhachsky and Aleksandrovsky districts of the Vladimir region. “We consider the mechanism of special economic zones and the further development of projects in their territories as a promising direction in the Vladimir region. Two years ago, the SEZ “Dobrograd-1” was opened in the region – residents have already attracted 77.1 million rubles. investment. In the current conditions of the influence of sanctions, the SEZ is also one of the key tools for the development of domestic production and import substitution, ”the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development quoted Dmitry Vakhrukov, deputy head of the department, as saying.

According to him, anchor residents plan to invest 18.7 billion rubles in the SEZ. and create more than 1.8 thousand new jobs. Among the projects are the organization of the production of household appliances, copper-aluminum convectors, deodorized hydrocarbon systems and the construction of a plant for the production of steel tubular radiators.

“The Vladimir region is on the path of reindustrialization, and the creation of the Vladimir Special Economic Zone is a key decision for the successful implementation of our industrial development strategy. In the east of the region, at the end of 2020, the SEZ “Dobrograd-1” appeared, the SEZ “Vladimir” will create new points of industrial growth in the center and in the west. For the region, this is an opportunity to realize the accumulated industrial and scientific potential, strengthen such promising specializations as the production of household appliances, chemical industry products, building materials and electronic components, provide residents with new jobs, increase budget revenues and, as a result, improve the level and quality of people’s lives. – said the governor of the Vladimir region Alexander Avdeev.

According to Mr. Vakhrukov, 16 out of 45 SEZs are located in the Central Federal District. The county accounts for half of all investments and jobs created. Currently, applications are being processed for the creation of new SEZs in the Tver and Yaroslavl regions.
