A number of streets will be blocked in the center of Moscow from June 2 to 5 - Kommersant

Traffic on some streets located in the center of Moscow will be limited from June 2 to June 5 in connection with the ZaBeg.RF half marathon. This was announced by the Department of Transportation Telegram.

Due to the half marathon, the road will be closed:

  • from 00:01 on June 2 to 06:00 on June 5 — on Vasilevsky Spusk Square from the Kremlin Embankment to the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge;
  • from 20:00 on June 3 to 06:00 on June 5 – on Moskvoretskaya street from Moskvoretskaya embankment to Varvarka street;
  • June 4 from 7:00 to 10:15 – along the streets of Bolshaya Ordynka, Bolshaya Polyanka, as well as Zhitnaya and Mytnaya;
  • from 7:00 to 12:15 on June 4, the section of the Garden Ring from Valovaya Street to Novinsky Boulevard, as well as Novokrymsky passage and exits from Ostozhenka Street towards Zubovsky Boulevard, will be blocked;
  • from 8:00 to 12:15 Smolenskaya, Krasnopresnenskaya and Frunzenskaya embankments will be closed, from 8:30 — Rostovskaya and Savvinskaya embankments, as well as Krymsky passage.

The department also clarified that from 00:01 until the end of the half marathon, parking will not be available on the overlap sections. Two-way traffic will be organized on some central streets. On the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge from Sofiyskaya Embankment to Moskvoretskaya Street, five lanes will be closed from 8:00 on June 3 to 5:00 on June 4. Traffic will continue with one or two lanes in each direction.

In 2023, ZaBeg.RF will be held in Moscow for the seventh time. The half marathon starts simultaneously throughout Russia. This year, residents of 85 cities will take part in it.
