A new textbook on the history of Russia with chapters on the special operation will be ready in March


Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov said that a new textbook on the history of Russia with chapters on the special operation in Ukraine will be released in March and will be intended for high school students. Before its introduction into the program, teachers will undergo advanced training, the minister noted.

“Today, a new history textbook is being developed, uniting the general history of the Russian Federation, where both the causes and tasks will be described in detail (special operations - ''b''). Therefore, the textbook will be ready in March for senior classes. Hopefully next year they will be able to use it in schools. There will be advanced training for teachers, ”said Sergey Kravtsov during a speech at the Moscow State Educational Institution (quoted from 360tv).

In September 2022, the Ministry of Education published order, according to which, as part of the school curriculum on history, it is necessary to include lessons about a special military operation in Ukraine. These classes are for students in grades 10 and 11. Rosobrnadzor reported that after making changes to the history programs in the Unified State Exam, questions about the special operation will appear.

December 23 Sergey Kravtsov toldthat in January-February 2023, the Ministry of Education will present developments on new school history textbooks for fifth-sixth grades. They will also include chapters on the special operation, referendums in the annexed regions, and sanctions from Western countries.
