A new season of the Lesson with a Champion project has started in the capital's schools

“Lesson with a Champion” is a project of the Patriot.Sport Moscow Center and the Moscow Department of Education and Science, in which famous athletes conduct classes and master classes with schoolchildren and college students of the capital, talk about how sport organizes and motivates young people people, strengthens their physical condition and helps in their studies.

This year, the traditional first lesson of the project at the Golden Section school was held by the head of the action – the Olympic champion, Honored Master of Sports in handball Denis Krivoshlykov. The second lesson at school No. 2116 was held by the Olympic champion, honored freestyle wrestling coach David Musulbes. This month, two-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Elena Azarova plans to join the project.

According to Marat Kuchushev, director of the Patriot.Sport Moscow Center, over 5,000 schoolchildren and college students have taken part in the project over the past three years.

— The master classes were conducted by eminent athletes – winners of the European, World and Olympic Games championships. They told the guys about their victories and how they achieved them,” Marat Kuchushev specified. – Such meetings are the best motivation for physical education and visiting sports sections.

The Lesson with a Champion project started in the 2019/2020 academic year. More than 100 metropolitan schools and colleges have already joined it. And 25 professional athletes conducted classes.
