In the Akhmatovsky district of Grozny, on Muhammad Ali Avenue, a new indoor football arena was opened, the press service of the mayor’s office of the republican capital reported.
Manege is the first full-fledged indoor stadium in the region. Its opening was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the state governing body in the field of physical culture and sports in Russia. The new facility was built as part of the implementation of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life.”
A solemn cutting of the red ribbon took place, and then officials inspected the new facility. The opening was attended by the Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Odes Baisultanov, heads of government bodies in the field of physical culture and sports of the North Caucasus, LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The event was also attended by players of the Akhmat football club and Chechen football veterans.
Now the new football arena will make it possible to train athletes of various groups all year round and hold high-level sports competitions here. And in their free time, residents of the republic will be able to play it.
