Among those who died on September 26 at the hands of an insane shooter of employees of the Izhevsk school No. 88 were three teachers: mathematicians Natalya Igorevna Vedernikova, fine arts – Svetlana Ivanovna Sukhanova, English language Margarita Mikhailovna Sakharnykh. Relatives and colleagues remember them… One of their students told what their lessons were famous for, and what tragedy the deceased teacher of fine arts Svetlana Sukhanova experienced.

“I personally knew all the dead teachers, we worked together for many years,” their colleague Larisa Kiryanova shared with MK. “You could always rely on them. They were kind, sensitive, sympathetic and understanding women, excellent teachers who devoted their lives to children. All of them worked for many years at school 88 in the city of Izhevsk, they loved their work, school and children very much.

Natalya Igorevna Vedernikova, 49, taught mathematics at school.

“Thanks to the mathematics teacher Vedernikova for the fact that she managed to warn our children that they hid under their desks, otherwise there would have been much more victims,” one of the parents says, barely holding back tears. But unfortunately she died…

Margarita Mikhailovna Sakharnykh, an English teacher, was 57 years old. Her relative Larisa told MK that Margarita was a bright person.

“She was protecting children, and she was shot. Very kind, attentive, caring, excellent mother. Margarita’s family is her husband, son and daughter. Her mother is still alive… She was my daughter’s godmother. My son is 34 and my daughter is 17. My daughter goes to the same school where Rita worked. She, thank God, was not hurt yesterday. Rita was born in Siberia, according to the distribution after the institute, she left for Izhevsk in 1987. And we still live in Siberia, but we always maintained relations. I still can’t believe that Rita is gone. It’s a pity, there are not enough tears, and the mind does not believe.

Svetlana Sukhanova

The deceased art teacher Svetlana Ivanovna Sukhanova had a tragedy in the summer: she buried her son. This was reported to MK by one of her former students. She does not know the cause of death. Svetlana Ivanovna left an adult daughter.

Natalia Vedernikova

Leysan Yakupova, a former student of school No. 88, knew the three dead teachers very well. And Natalya Vedernikova was her favorite high school math teacher.

– She always looked after herself, every day she came smart. Manicure, hairstyle… If the child did not understand some topic, she did not get angry, on the contrary, she called to the blackboard to explain separately. The last time I saw her and hugged her was on September 2, when I went to the school to see the teachers, Leysan told MK with a sigh.

And the teacher of fine arts, Svetlana Ivanovna, who affectionately called all the children “suns,” as her former student recalls, turned on the cassette in her tape recorder in her lessons, “so that the children would not be bored while we were doing the work.”

“I have remembered her “Deniska Stories” for the rest of my life,” continues Leysan. – When there were events at the school, she never stood aside, she always danced along with other teachers and students.

Margarita Sugar

She called Margarita Sakharnykh “the best teacher of English”. She was moderately strict and moderately kind; there was always silence in her lessons. You could always turn to her for support, knowing that she would not refuse to help, but, on the contrary, would only gladly help.

“It’s a pity that Margarita Mikhailovna’s office was the last one in which the shooter took his own life… I’m proud that you were my teachers, thank you for the unforgettable lessons!…” Leysan says, barely holding back tears.

In the public school number 88, parents leave hundreds of thanks to teachers. The teachers behaved like real heroes. “If it wasn’t for such and such a teacher, our children would not exist!” Many people write like that. Here are just a few stories.

“I have a child in the 1st grade of this school,” said mother Anastasia. Glory to such teachers! Our teacher also closed the class, said that this is a “game” like this, “we all hide behind the back desks.” When the riot police came, they were taken out. How did she do it? How did you manage your nerves and manage to calm the children? Our children were practically not afraid, despite the fact that this creature was pounding on the door. I’m still shaking.

“I thank the history teacher Ekaterina Sergeevna for the rescued children from 9 “B”. Bow to your feet. As soon as possible, I will come and bow to you personally,” wrote one of the parents. “Many thanks from all parents of 5“ V ”to technology teacher Khomichev for his efficiency, determination and correct actions in the evacuation of children! He organized the message 5 “B” through the emergency exit and led to the Savings Bank! Thank you very much to Sberbank too.”

– A low bow to the class teacher 2 “D” Yuryeva Natalya Valerievna for saving our children! – says Inna, mother of a second grader. – Closing herself in the classroom, she sat the children on the floor and continued to teach the lesson against the wall so that the children would not succumb to panic. My child until the last thought that this was a training alarm. Only at home he began to ask why everything was so real, with shots and blood …
