The construction of the facility has been carried out by the company StroyPrestizh since 2007. In 2016, the contract for the construction of the second stage was won by the company Verso-Monolith, but due to the obsolescence of the construction project and regulations, the construction was frozen. During a direct line in 2021, the Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Natalya Komarova (she resigned in May 2024) announced plans to hand over the facility in July 2022. According to her, the cost of 1 square meter of the hospital was 235.8 thousand rubles. Ms. Komarova assured that the figure is within the limits of "average costs".

In June, President Vladimir Putin ordered that the issue of the protracted construction of the medical facility be resolved. During a government meeting, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko noted that the facility was planned to be completed "in the next month or month and a half." In July, the Department of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of Yugra reported that the Central Regional Clinical Hospital had been put into operation.

The area of the medical institution is more than 109 thousand square meters. The hospital will employ about 2.5 thousand people. The Central Regional Clinical Hospital will house 24 operating rooms equipped with telemedicine technology, a clinical laboratory, a hydrotherapy center, and an inpatient facility with a capacity of more than 1 thousand people. It is planned that the hospital will become the main medical hub in the east of Yugra.
