89-year-old actor and director Vasily Livanov was hospitalized in Moscow. According to preliminary data, he suffered a stroke, writes Baza.
Livanov became ill on September 29. Relatives called an ambulance, the actor was taken to the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute.
Vasily Livanov gained wide popularity thanks to the role of Sherlock Holmes in the series of films “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson”, based on the works of Arthur Conan Doyle. For this work in 2006, Livanov became an honorary member of the Order of the British Empire.
