Almost 7,000 children from Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are enrolled in schools and kindergartens in the Rostov region. This was announced by the Governor of the region Vasily Golubev in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the Rostov region has been accepting children from these regions "from the first days of the special military operation." Several thousand people visited camps in the summer and also took part in educational sessions at the universities.

“Now almost 7 thousand children from neighboring regions are enrolled in schools and kindergartens in the Rostov region. And the fact that the status of our neighbors has changed with the entry into Russia of new subjects does not mean at all that we will complete this work. On the contrary, we will continue it,” Mr. Golubev noted. He said that in the near future new groups of children would arrive in the Rostov region, their accommodation would be organized at the expense of the federal budget.
