491 shells were fired at the Shebekinsky urban district, informed Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

“491 units of various ammunition were fired in the Shebekinsky urban district. In the city of Shebekino, strikes were mostly directed at residential areas,” the governor wrote on his Telegram channel.

As a result of the shelling of Shebekino, there was an injured man with a shrapnel wound to the hand, he was taken to a local hospital. Also, the villages of Grafovka and Bezlyudovka were attacked by Grad, in addition, artillery fired at the village of Murom - 20 shells were hit. In the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, 105 arrivals were noted, about 20 buildings were damaged.

Over the past few weeks, the border areas of the Belgorod region have been subjected to regular massive shelling. The Governor reported more than 4,000 arrivals between May 27 and June 4. Yesterday, June 5, Gladkov declared about at least 650 shells that arrived in the region.

On June 4, the Ministry of Defense announced the repulsion of an attempt to break through the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) in the Belgorod region. According to the agency, the DRG made an attempt to cross the river in the Novaya Tavolzhanka area. The defense department added that an artillery strike was carried out, as a result of which the enemy was "scattered and retreated." On the same day, information about the battles in Novaya Tavolzhanka confirmed Gladkov.

In the Belgorod region, the "yellow" level of terrorist danger is indefinitely valid. Also, from October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a medium-level response regime was introduced in the region.
