114 skiers and snowboarders compete in freeride in the mountains of Sochi

The Freeride World Tour Qualifier festival has started at the Krasnaya Polyana Resort in the mountains of Sochi. The freeride competition was attended by 114 skiers and snowboarders from 48 Russian cities.

The deputy head of the resort, Inna Petukhova, noted that the festival was held in the mountains of Sochi for the first time. She also said that the winter season in the Olympic capital is in full swing. To date, accommodation facilities in the mountain cluster are approximately 65% ​​loaded. Guests of the Olympic capital can become spectators of large-scale competitions.

As part of the festival, skiers and snowboarders can officially ride outside the prepared ski slopes. The scoring system at the competitions is built in such a way that it is most convenient for novice athletes to participate in them. The festival, according to the press service of the Sochi administration, can be the beginning of a career for young skiers and snowboarders.
